ABSTRACT
The article discusses the development of the U.S. Army's MQ-1C (Gray Eagle) drone aircraft program which is based on the Predator drone platform designed by manufacturer General Atomics as of April 2013. It states that the U.S. Army is requesting full-rate production approval from the American Department of Defense's acquisition chief Frank Kendall for the Gray Eagle aircraft which features an electro-optical/infrared video camera and a laser-range finder.
