ABSTRACT
The article discusses aspects on the innovative practice model particularly on the Subjective Unit of Distress (SUD) developed by Joseph Wolpe in 1969. It notes that SUD was first intended as a quantification tool for clinicians to treat patients with anxiety and other disorders. The author believed there exist a certain logic behind the theory of SUD in pushing individuals beyond the comfort zone to be efficient and productive.
