ABSTRACT
The article presents an update of guidance for clinicians and laboratorians for hepatitis C virus (HCV) testing. It enumerates changes in HCV testing technologies, including the availability of a rapid test for HCV antibody. The article also cites the benefits of testing for current HCV infection and discusses a recommended testing sequence.
