ABSTRACT
The article reports that former Philippine president Joseph Estrada has won the mayoral race in Manila in May 2013. Outgoing Mayor Alfredo Lim has stated that he wishes Estrada all the best and that he respects the Philippine Commission on Elections' (Comelec) proclamation of Estrada. Lim's running mate, outgoing sixth district Councilor Lou Veloso has stated that he is proud to have teamed up with Lim and has witnessed the latter's efforts to provide public service to the city's poor.
