ABSTRACT
The article looks at the report called "Director Compensation and Board Practices: 2013 Edition" released by the nonprofit research organization Conference Board Inc. which can be accessed on their website www.conference-board.org. It notes that the report was designed as a benchmarking tool and presents an analysis of over 150 corporate governance data points by company size and 20 industrial sectors. A table depicting the professional background of directors by company size is presented.
