ABSTRACT
The article reflects on the impact of the urban development projects (UDPs) on the construction of a neoliberal urban hegemony in Ä°M Ä°r, Turkey. It discusses the New City Center (NCC) and Inciralty Tourism Center (ITC) development projects in the city which also represents creation of the neo-liberal urban hegemony. It also reflects on the political-ideological relationship between UDPs and the development of hegemony.
