ABSTRACT
In this article the author offers information related to old bus terminals in the U.S. He informs that in 1940, mid-town Manhattan, New York had nine bus terminals. He reports that the New York Port Authority built a terminal in Manhattan to start centralize bus services in 1940s. He mentions that over the time, bus service gradually moved over to the Port Authority and bus terminal and the small terminals were closed.
