The author discusses the aspects of the approach and policy of New Zealand toward international affairs, focusing on the significance of reputation in foreign relations. He states that the country asserts its role in foreign affairs through biotechnology and high quality food production as it lacks critical economic or military power to have an assertive role in foreign relations. He adds that the country focuses on preserving its integrity and commitment as a good global citizen.
