ABSTRACT
The article discusses Penn Dental Medicine's renewed focus on augmenting research enterprises and attracting researchers to join the faculty. The importance of new faculty to complement the major research areas of the University to secure a place for Penn Dental in the future of the University of Pennsylvania as a whole is noted. For 2012, Penn Dental added three new faculty members including Dr. George Hajishengallis, Dr. Betty Harokopakis-Hajishengallis, and Dr. Anh Le.
