ABSTRACT
States Glenn Morse, director of the Eastern Region of the Air Transport Assn., has asked the Massachusetts Port Authority to close runway 15L/33R (a short 2,557 ft.) and complete runway 14/32 with a length of 3,830 ft., providing another arrival runway on VFR days. The new runway would also allow for segregation of regional airline aircraft from larger transports. Opposition by Massport (which runs the airport) and neighborhood associations; Major delays on VFR days.
