ABSTRACT
The article offers the insights of Fatima Hajaig, the House Chairperson for International Relations in the National Assembly, on the role of South African Parliamentary diplomacy in advancing government foreign policy. She says that the role of Parliaments has been confined to national agreements which are adopted by the executive. She mentions that the country's foreign policy emphasizes an agenda aiming to improve the conditions of citizens in Africa.
