ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the relationship between wind speed and the effective capacity factor (ECF) in Germany. It offers information on the Renewable Energy Sources Act under which operators of transmission system had to purchase and transmit all electricity developed from renewable sources. It focuses on the correlation between wind speed and wind plants capacity utilization related to country scale.
