ABSTRACT
In this article, the author offers information about a program sponsored by a group Young Audiences of Massachusetts which relates music to early literacy learning to improve the children's readiness for kindergarten. It discusses ways by which music can develop early literacy learning. It also presents five traditional fun songs for early literacy learning including "Icky Sticky and Ooey Gooey," "The Muffin Man" and "The Cat Went Fiddle-I-Fee."
