ABSTRACT
The article explains five important elements and practices in ensuring success and achieving cultural proficiency for English-learning students. These include assessment of cultural knowledge, management of the dynamics of difference and adaption to diversity. It also notes the three principles of cultural proficiency including multicultural education strategies and the cultural proficiency continuum including cultural destructiveness, cultural blindness and cultural competence.
