ABSTRACT
10 Pres. Vladimir Putin said he'll pardon Mikhail Khodorkovsky, once Russia's richest man, after a decade in jail, in what may be a gesture to human rights critics before the Winter Olympics in Sochi. The ex-chief of oil giant Yukos was due to be released next Aug., but many thought he would face new charges. Putin also said 2 members of the Pussy Riot protest rock band will be freed.
