The author points out the need to practice the beneficiation of the current curriculum to meet the requirements of the Common Core State Standards (CCSS). She describes the WarFair district collaborative project that involves all the core subjects. She also discussed a project involving the study of mineral beneficiation and how the treatment of mined materials can make minerals more concentrated and rich and the learning opportunities it provided for students and staff.
