ABSTRACT
The article discusses the various aspects on the recovery of the housing market in the U.S. The possible impact of the Qualified Mortgage (QM), which will be effective on January 10, 2013, on the housing market is tackled. Also discussed is the plan of the Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) to reduce gradually the maximum size of loans that Fannie and Freddie can buy.
