ABSTRACT
134 HIV-infected young adults were examined by using the Russian version of the "World Health Organization Quality of Life Survey (WHOQOL-100)" technique in order to study the influence of the anti-retroviral therapy on the main domains of vital activity of HIV-affected people. The stages of disease distribution are based on the world's most common CDC classification. Antiretroviral therapy was administered to patients in accordance with the current guidelines. It reveals some differences in evaluation the influence of the therapy on psycho-physiological condition of the patients. This fact reflects the importance of due appointment of appropriately chosen treatment. The complex assessment of HIV affected people is important because the life sustaining of the affected people, along with the survival rate, reflects a patient's ability to adapt to the illness and a quality of medico-psychological support.
