ABSTRACT
The article is focused on the first attempts to systematize the knowledge of Russian language in the process of creating of the lexicographic works in the XVIIIth century. It analyses the research aspect of the dictionaries and lexicons not only as the first Russian textbooks for Germans, but also as the means of Russian language promotion in the German-speaking audience.
