ABSTRACT
The article presents a short update, summary, and how-to guide for developing an outreach program to educate the public about astronomy. Topics discussed include the importance of developing the purpose and goal of doing an outreach activity, the use of advertising and electronic media in promoting an outreach activity and the proper way of delivering an outreach activity. Also mentioned is the importance of evaluation and feedback for an effective outreach activity.
