ABSTRACT
The article offers Jewish community news briefs from Israel and Ukraine as of May 22, 2014. Ukrainian-Jewish leaders' report revealed the involvement of criminal activity in eastern Ukraine in causing anxiety and increased emigration by Ukrainian Jews. Israeli unicameral national legislature Knesset would vote for Israel's next president on June 10, 2014. Israel's UN Ambassador Ron Prosor has requested to recognize Yom Kippur, Day of Atonement, as an official holiday in Israel.
