ABSTRACT
The article presents reprint of a report on the education system in the U.S. Topics discussed include need for improvements in K-12 education, federal education policy of the U.S. and need to provide high-quality career and technical education to low-income youngsters not ready for college. It also discusses the need to reintroduce serious academic content to the elementary and middle school curriculum.
