ABSTRACT
Establishment of statistical index system of carbon emission at urban level is an important step to push the low-carbon economic development from the fundamental research phase to the operational application stage. Taking Baoding as a case, this paper establishes a statistical index system of carbon emission from the aspects of agriculture, forestry, and animal husbandry three sectors based on the analysis of Baoding's current structure of carbon emission and its influencing factors. The index system contains 12 carbon sources and 5 carbon sinks. The carbon emission of Baoding in 2005 and 2010 are calculated based on the model given in this paper. The conclusion shows : in the course of production and living in rural China, the main body of carbon emission is caused by production and application of plastic, diesel consumption of agricultural machinery and methane, while carbon storage mainly comes from the application of organic fertilizer and carbon sequestration produced by straw soil. Finally, relevant policy suggestions are given accordingly.
