ABSTRACT
The article presents the significance of U.S. immigration issues in courses in colleges and universities such as the Development, Relief, and Education for Alien Minors (DREAM Act) and the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA program). It examines how academics have addressed these issues such as Emma Sepúlveda of the University of Nevada, Reno, Doctor Harriett Romo at the University of Texas at San Antonio and Maria de los Angeles Torres at the University of Illinois at Chicago.
