ABSTRACT
The article offers snippets related to the computer industry in the U.S. It is stated that to alter the newsfeeds of 689,000 users without their knowledge, Facebook-working with researchers from Cornell University and the University of California in San Francisco-manipulated its algorithm over a period of one week in 2012. It is noted that an algorithm has been used by the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) tried to train to spot tanks hiding behind trees.
