Biography
ABSTRACT
The article provides a biography of former U.S. President Theodore Roosevelt. He graduated from Harvard University in 1880 and was elected to the New York State Assembly in 1881. He fought as a Lieutenant Colonel in Cuba during the Spanish-American War with the Rough Riders regiment of the U.S. Army. As President, Roosevelt battled large corporations, helped open the Panama Canal, and promoted wildlife conservation.
