ABSTRACT
Chapter 28 in Book 4 of "Adam Bede," by George Eliot is presented. It narrates the revival of Arthur with Adam bringing him water and helping him walk to the Hermitage and Adam's apology to Arthur, who in turn expresses his desire to end the matter. It relates Adam's demand that Arthur write Hetty a letter to end the relationship and Arthur's reluctant agreeing to do so, promising to have it ready for Adam the next day.
