The article recounts the role of rabbi Henry Cohen in the relocation of Jewish families from New York to Galveston, Texas. After the Great Storm of 1900, Cohen led the return to law and order in the island. He set up the Galveston Plan to find homes for Jewish families and immigrants. He died on June 12, 1952.
