ABSTRACT
The author reflects on the proposition of Environment Minister David Miliband to establish a legislation that will make direct mailing to opt-in in Great Britain. He mentions that one of Miliband's predecessors, Michael Meacher has tried to blame the direct marketing industry for the environmental damage. He stated that Miliband refuses to reveal the results on whether the industry has passed the first target of 30 percent recycling of all marketing materials in 2005.
