ABSTRACT
An editorial by New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg is presented which focuses on gun crime in the United States. Bloomberg discusses how his gun control policies have cut down on murders. He talks about background checks being conducted on those purchasing guns. He also mentions the use of illegal weapons. He and other mayors including Tom Menino of Boston started a coalition called Mayors Against Illegal Guns to combat gun crime. Bloomberg believes that the Federal government is not doing enough.
