ABSTRACT
The article presents the author's views regarding intelligent design. He says that one has to trace the roots of intelligent design to understand why it constitutes a menace to medicine. He states that intelligent design is a medieval theological proposition based on faith but not logic and science. He thinks it to be theology dressed up as science, which cannot be easily dismissed. He believes that intelligent design should concern physicians as the debate influences education at all levels.
