ABSTRACT
This article presents the author's comments on search engine optimization of Web pages. It is stated that Internet users make instant judgments, using subtle cues in the search-listing copy to determine which sites they want to spend time with. The author says that just as there are tips for social climbing, there are techniques for optimizing Web sites, and while people today might draw the line at taking elocution lessons, their online equivalents are critical to business success.
