ABSTRACT
The author reflects on the idea of record labels trying to obtain a cut of the profits from concert tours, noting that such an arrangement is unlikely to work. The implausibility of concert promoters or agents willingly parting with any of their profits is noted, as is the declining clout of record labels in general.
