ABSTRACT
The author discusses the importance for emerging businesses to establish effective and cost-efficient relationships with legal service providers before a legal crisis emerges. He outlines the factors to consider when evaluating a legal service provider. He also describes the four types of legal service providers, namely solo practitioners, an attorney supervised legal team consisting of different tiers of legal talent with hourly rates, law firms, and a law firm that employs the supervised legal team approach.
