The author comments on the criticisms of Reverend Timothy Rowan on his treatment of standardized educational tests and measurements. According to Rowan, the element of chance or luck is overlooked in his treatment of standardized educational tests and measurements. The author claims that Rowan misunderstands the meaning of the word standard as used in connection with standardized tests.
