ABSTRACT
The author reflects on the implications of the $700 billion bailout plan in the U.S. He asserts that the bailout plan was conceptualized to help mortgages and get them back to financial institutions to gain economic balance and to start lending again. He stresses that the proposed $250 billion investment on financial institution is sourced from the bailout plan which deviates from its original purpose. He notes that trying to ease the foreclosure crisis would worsen the economic condition.
