ABSTRACT
The author offers his view about the administration of U.S. president Barack Hussein Obama who takes office on January 20, 2009. He asserts that the election of Obama is more than remarkable and historic considering that he is the first African-American president. He expresses optimism that the economy of the country will recover. He questions the decision by Obama to appoint Larry Summers as director of the National Economic Council.
