ABSTRACT
The author reflects on the reasons behind the prayer made by Jesus Christ for his disciples before he was arrested and crucified. She believes that Christ prayed for his disciples because they were chosen from the world and the mission they have. She adds that Jesus prayed that his disciples may be one as he and the Father are one. He also prayed that God will protect them from the evil as Judas betrayed him and Peter had denied him.
