ABSTRACT
The author discusses the 7.2 billion-dollar given by the National Telecommunications & Information Administration and the Rural Utilities Service (RUS) for broadband grant and loan programs in the U.S. He notes that the money was set aside by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act for the said grants and programs. The RUS declares a percentage of it that will be given for satellite-based projects. He also cites that 11 out of the 14 grants given by RUS will go to fiber to the home.
