ABSTRACT
An editorial is presented on the causes of the global economic recession of the late 2000s, identified in the retreat from Keynesian economics and the return to faith in Say's law, according to which supply creates its own demand. The views of U.S. economist Paul Krugman are quoted, and support is expressed for increased government spending to promote employment.
