ABSTRACT
The author argues in favor of U.S. federal funding for human embryonic stem cell (hESC) research. According to the author, regenerative medicine will be less attractive to investment if the U.S. government abandons the field. A discussion is provided on District Court Judge Royce Lamberth's August 2010 injunction banning federal funding of hESC research. The effects of Lamberth's ruling are cited.
