ABSTRACT
The author reflects on the 90th anniversary of the Australian Nursing Federation, on the quality of Australian health care, on health disparities in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island people in Australia and on the 2013 passage of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples Recognition Bill. She suggests that the ANF's members make it successful and that the passage of the bill was a historic occasion. She argues that progress is being made in the health of Indigenous people in Australia.
