The author discusses aspects of name-calling and bullying which mostly occur in schools due to identity-based bias in the U.S. She examines the response of school in bias-based bullying which need to be different to educate and inform the whole school community on displayed prejudice or bigotry. She also mentions that some schools utilize the ineffective zero tolerance policy on students.
