ABSTRACT
An essay is presented on the enforcing of human rights for poor people in developing countries. The author examines efforts by the modern human rights movement over the last 60 years and how these efforts have contributed to the criminalization of abuses towards the poor. The essay also addresses the justice system in developing countries and the United Nations Development Program.
