An essay is presented on the importance of nutrition in reason, exuberance, athleticism and liberty (REAL) wellness. The author provides an overview of each of the four dimensions that make up the REAL and suggests that they add up to a REAL wellness lifestyle balanced in a range of life skills and disciplines. Also emphasized is the need for good nutrition to be assessed and experienced as part of REAL wellness.
