ABSTRACT
An interview with Daryl Fort, senior trainer at Mentors in Violence Prevention (MVP), is presented. Fort shares his thoughts and feelings about the late linebacker Jovan Belcher of the Kansas City Chiefs football team, who had murdered his girlfriend Kasandra Perkins and committed suicide. Also discussed are Fort's strategy for motivating men as leaders in gender violence prevention, and the role played by race and racism in workshops devoted to men's violence against women.
