ABSTRACT
A literary criticism of the book "The Golden Notebook" by Doris Lessing is presented. It examines the book's portrayal of traumatic events and the effect they have on the protagonist, Anna Wulf. It is suggested that the novel revolves around a psychological riddle. The autobiographical elements of the book are analyzed and the book's role as a piece of feminist literature is discussed.
