Literary criticisms of the books are presented, including “A Woman for President," by Victoria Woodhull, "What to Do About Alice," by Barbara Kerley, and "Dolley Madison: America's First Lady," by Myra Weatherly. The article discusses the value that young readers will find in these books and how these books can assist teachers in the classroom. A plot synopsis of each of the stories mentioned is also presented.
