A Hydropower Renaissance?

The author comments on the benefits of hydropower plants. He says that hydropower plants were mainly built and operated as a cost-efficient source of clean electricity, however, there is still scope for expanding generation from hydropower. According to him, the role of hydropower is set to gradually evolve into support for a future power system.
