ABSTRACT
The author comments on issues related to the appointment of Ezekiel Emanuel as Special Advisor for Health Policy for U.S. President Barack Obama's administration. The author criticizes Emanuel's article in the June 18, 2008 issue of the "Journal of the American Medical Association" which states that Americans do not visit doctors or go into hospitals more often than other -people in other industrialized countries. He also explains that the appointment of Emanuel as health care advisor gives him the leverage to condemn other American's choices.
